UrbanPG Technologies Pvt. Ltd. ("UrbanPG", "we", "us") operates the UrbanPG platform. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have.

1. Data we collect

  • Account data: name, email, phone number, role (student/owner).
  • Booking data: visit dates, messages exchanged with owners.
  • Property data (owners): address, photos, pricing, amenities, ownership documents.
  • Payment data: processed through Razorpay. UrbanPG does not store card, UPI or bank details on our servers.
  • Usage & cookies: device, browser, IP address, pages viewed and interactions, used to improve the product.

2. How we use your data

  • To create and secure your account.
  • To connect students with PG owners for verified bookings.
  • To send transactional emails (visit confirmations, owner notifications).
  • To improve the service, prevent fraud and enforce our Terms.

3. Data sharing with third parties

  • Payment gateway (Razorpay): processes online payments.
  • Property owners: receive your name, phone and email when you book a visit at their PG.
  • Infrastructure providers: hosting, email and analytics vendors under confidentiality obligations.
  • We do not sell your personal data.

4. Data security

We use industry-standard measures — encryption in transit, access controls and row-level security on our database — to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, so we encourage strong passwords and reporting any suspicious activity.

5. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing privacy.urbanpg.co.in@gmail.com. We respond within a reasonable time.

7. Children's privacy

UrbanPG is not intended for users under 18 without guardian involvement. If you believe a minor has created an account without consent, contact us and we'll remove it.
